Squamish, British Columbia, Canada

A little bit about me.

I was born to a dirt-bike-racing father, and a shopping-mall-loving mother in the sprawling suburbs of Canada’s largest city, Toronto. Not exactly the birthplace, nor lineage, one might expect a mountain climber, let alone a rock climber to come from.

By all accounts I was poised to follow my childhood dream of equestrian pursuits, but a chance encounter with rock climbing at the age of 20 changed my life’s course.

I completed a Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in Strategic Human Resources Management in 2009. That same year I moved to Squamish, British Columbia and have lived here ever since. Between 2009 and 2016 I spent the majority of my time travelling to remote mountain ranges around the world as a professional climber. But, in 2016 I adopted an elderly cat, bought a condo and decided I liked sleeping in my own bed more than I thought. In 2020 I completed my second degree, a Bachelor of Social Work with a specialization in Child Welfare, and this has laid the foundation for my work today as a Registered Social Worker with the British Columbia College of Social Workers.
